WELCOME TO KAKE

Kake is a Tlingit village on the northwest shore of Kupreanof Island in Southeast Alaska, home to the Ḵéex̱' Ḵwáan people who have lived in the region for thousands of years. The name comes from the Tlingit word "Keix," meaning "opening of daylight." Surrounded by forested mountains and the waters of Keku Strait and Frederick Sound, Kake is known for its rich Tlingit heritage, subsistence lifestyle, and the world's third-tallest totem pole standing at the heart of the village.
